Community Organization

Friends Of The Byes / The Byes Environmental Education Project. A group have set out on an exciting project to improve the Byes area in Sidmouth, Devon, bringing biodiversity, an educational platform for learning and improved usage to this parkland.

After months of getting together finance from the Lottery and support from the District Council, National Trust, SVA and others, the Friends of the Byes was formally launched last September:

Today as part of the Green Week organised by Sidmouth Primary school Friends of the Byes volunteers delivered 535 small tree saplings and a 1L pot to every Primary schoolchild in Sidmouth. They will be taking the tree saplings home to nurtu...See More
