Friends of the Byes: planting bulbs and preparing for the coming year: first session Saturday 28th September

the FotB are organising several bulb-planting sessions:

Dear All
Friends of The Byes are participating in the ‘Creating the Valley of a million bulbs’ funded by the Keith Owen Fund and organised by the Sid Vale Association
SVA - creating the valley of a million bulbs - Sidmouth's challenge 

Come and Join in on anyone or all of our 7 Bulb planting dates and help to enhance the natural beauty of The Byes.

  1. Saturday 28th September 10:30am – 1pm  
  2. Wednesday 2nd October 1:30 - 3:30
  3. Saturday 5th October 10:30 -1pm
  4. Wednesday 9th October 1:30 – 3:30
  5. Saturday 12th October 10:30 – 1pm
  6. Wednesday 16th October 1:30 – 3:30
  7. Saturday 19th October 10:30 -1pm
Along with the Bulb planting, we will also be continuing with our efforts to enhance the beauty of The Byes, by continuing to mulch around the base of trees planted, cleaning and securing memorial signs to the benches. Securing sponsorship signs to the fruit trees in the orchard, trimming hedges planted, maintaining the copses planted, cleaning sign boards, weed area around planted area entrance to byes.

Meeting point will be at the Old Toll House entrance to the Byes on Salcombe Road.
