Sixth Formers make start on planting 9,000 bulbs (11.10.13)

DSC_0244A group of our Sixth Formers took a break from their studies on Wednesday this week to get their hands dirty planting snowdrop, daffodil and crocus bulbs in the Byes.

They volunteered their time in support of the Sid Vale Association’s campaign to plant a million bulbs in Sidmouth as part of Keith Owen’s legacy.

The students have agreed to do some further planting in November with a target of planting a total of 9,000 bulbs!

Liz Warren from the SVA said, “The students did a great job planting the bulbs and seemed to enjoy themselves while they worked.  A big thank you for helping to create the Valley of a Million Bulbs!”
