2013 Sidmouth Science Festival - 14 to 20 October
'Science in our Lives'
This year’s Festival has been a great success with larger audiences and more families attending. The presenters were of high quality thus giving people confidence to come and take part in an interesting and thought provoking event. We would like to thank all of the attendees, helpers, stewards, and the venues making this a Festival with real buzz.
Over 1500 children of school age took part in a science related activity at their schools or college. We will continue to work with the College and primary schools to support teachers in their delivery of the National Curriculum throughout the festival week.
We have learnt some good lessons about how to improve the Festival in future, especially for families. As it is run by a team of volunteers we are looking for any ideas and comments from the Community to make the event even better next year. Please submit your ideas to info@sidmouthsciencefestival.org
