Ham Lane Redevelopment Study - a mixed development for Port Royal

Here are the latest ideas for Port Royal from a former architect living in Sidmouth.

The plans look at how to integrate the car-parking with bringing some character back to the Ham Lane area - that is, the sort of 'mixed development' which has been championed by all parties:

At present area is dominated by cars so I have tried to reinstate East Street by introducing mixed use accommodation.
This will bring businesses and people into the town rather than on the Sidford Fields.

Surface Car Park Total 190 Vehicles

East St Reinstated – 9 dwellings + 162 Vehicles

East St + Ham Lane - 16 dwellings + 142 vehicles

Lower Surface Car Park - 116 vehicles

Dwellings 22 – 116 vehicles ground level

With Upper Deck 100   Total 216 Vehicles

16 dwellings + Triple Level Car Park - Total 228 Vehicles

Upper deck (97 Vehicles)

Note Ham Lane accommodation consists of commercial ground floor with flats above.

Consisting of 22+ dwellings and total of 216 vehicles 5 and 6 require a new entrance in Ham Lane.
