A literary tour of the district - celebrating the rich variety of East Devon life across the ages

When did you last visit Sidmouth Library?

The venue hosts regular events, readings and exhibitions:

And this month "you will find a lively selection of books by local writers and books about the area, including writing from the recent competition about a place or event in East Devon."

As part of this ongoing celebration of writing in the District... there will be an evening later this month with live readings from authors in Ottery St Mary:

East Devon literature event comes to Ottery

Local established and new writers will showcase their work at a literary event in Ottery St Mary, on Friday (23 May).
The event, will include extracts and poems by established and published writers, past and present, together with original new writing from a recent competition.
The readings will celebrate the variety of East Devon life across the ages and incorporate a literary tour of the district.
Admission is free and all are welcome. The event will take place at the Institute, Yonder Street, Ottery St Mary on Friday 23 May between 7.30 and 9pm. There is free parking at Sainsbury’s.
NB. It is not an East Devon Alliance event, but organised by a range of people across the district.
