Saturday 27 September to Thursday 2 October 2014
Welcome to Sidmouth’s First Walking Festival.

Sidmouth is within East Devon on the Jurassic Coast and has some wonderful scenic walking, both coastal and inland. The town enjoys 'Walkers are Welcome' status and is keen to promote the walking opportunities in the area.

Welcome to Sidmouth’s First Walking Festival
This initial festival will run for six days and there will be a choice of two lengths of walk each day. All walks will be free of charge but numbers will be limited and walks must be booked in advance through the Sidmouth Information Centre. In addition, guided Town Walks and a local Arboretum Trail will be on offer for those who may be looking for something less strenuous.
All the walks will be led by experienced local walkers who will enjoy sharing this wonderful area with our guests.
The week commences with an opportunity to meet your walk leaders in a local hall including a slide show of the local area to give a flavour of some of the places we will visit on our walks. Your walk leaders will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Those taking part in the Thursday walks are invited to a complimentary Devon Cream Tea in Sidford Social Hall afterwards.

The benefits tourists will bring to the local economy are clear:
