And this is from the latest newsletter:

PLANTING –

Highlights of the year 2014 were the planting of beech and Scots pine at Keble’s Seat on Clinton Devon Estates land above Sidmouth.
Stowford was planted up with small oaks and mixed shrubs – in collaboration with Rotary Sidmouth.
And we cleared out dead and dying on Millford Road which is well frequented walking route into town along the river. And replanted of course, thanks to Woodland Trust FREE TREES.
We take maintenance very seriously and hope to raise enough funds to continue sending a professional out from time to time to care for the trees we plant.

PLANTING 2015 – Greening the Ham car parks.

ITREE SURVEY -

Enormous thanks to our small dedicated group of volunteers who trained and took on the 200 randomly selected plots to survey. This work was completed, and Jon and Penny Ball entered the data. Project leader Kenton Rogers has sent it all off to the U.S. Forestry Department for analysis.
Results will be examined and a report published.
Could not have been done without support from Sid Vale Association, Keith Owen Fund.

TREE TRAIL LEAFLETS –
We now have leaflets for Sidmouth and Sidbury, with Salcombe Regis due out this spring (thanks to Awards 4 All). Most grateful to Sidmouth Garden Centre who will sponsor leaflet printing in 2015.
