The Exeter Pound: "What will it mean for you?" >>>>> >>> open meeting: Thursday 26th March

Transition Exeter has been hard at work looking at a local currency:
Futures Forum: An Exeter Pound: the Positive Money campaign comes to Transition Exeter: Thurs 27th November
Futures Forum: An Exeter Pound: What came first: money or debt? ......... David Graeber's "Debt: The First 5000 Years"

It will be looking further at this at a public meeting next Thursday 26th March:

The Exeter Pound project is delighted to announce that it will be launching the new local currency for Exeter and the surrounding area in the autumn, in order to support independent businesses and boost the local (and more sustainable) economy.

The Open meeting at Exeter Community Centre on Thursday 26th March is to promote the scheme and give more information on how it will work, what it can be spent on and give an opportunity to sign up.

The Design Competition for the notes has had many entries! The designs or a selection of them will form an exhibition at the Guildhall on Exeter High Street on April 9th and 10th with free entry.

We now know what two of the notes will look like (one was on the front of the Echo) and by the 9th the judges will have chosen other designs.
