Plans for Manstone: the draft Local Plan and 20 new homes >>> but no buyers and no affordable housing

The District Council is committed to lots more housing:

Meanwhile next door in Mid Devon, there seems to be more provision for affordable housing:

And yet Cranbrook enjoys a certain amount of 'affordable housing' - but possibly only because Exeter is so unaffordable:
Futures Forum: Cranbrook shortlisted for an 'infrastructure' award by planning professionals >>> but "Towns such as Cranbrook are becoming dormitories and commuter belts for 'Greater Exeter' – meaning many people must take to their cars in East Devon to get to their jobs in Exeter."

In the East Devon draft Local Plan, 30 'homes' are promised for Port Royal:

... and 20 are intended for the current Mansfield Depot:

And yet there are visions out there which could make truly affordable housing possible:
Futures Forum: "A crisis of imagination” when approaching "the horny question of development in the future" >>> "the higher we go in the organisations that should be responding there is less and less creativity, less and less imagination."

Anyway, is 'affordable housing' just a mirage...
