Sidmouth in Bloom AGM: Saturday 11th April

Sidmouth in Bloom is doing good works for the town and valley:

Sidmouth in Bloom (SIB) is a voluntary group that aims to raise the horticultural, environmental and community awareness throughout the town.

The group has won a Gold Award in South West in Bloom and the Preece Cup in 2013.  SiB is now a finalist in the 2014 RHS Britain in Bloom National Contest in the large Coastal Towns category.

SIB has also been heavily involved in the SVA's 'valley of a million bulbs' project:

Former pilot Keith Owen left his £2.3m fortune to the resort of Sidmouth in Devon to create a "valley of a million bulbs".

His dying wish has now been fulfilled after the sweeping swathes of stunning daffodils, snowdrops and crocuses across the resort have seen it crowned one of the country's prettiest and awarded the Silver Gilt at the finals of the 50th Britain in Bloom.
