The new economics foundation's top reads for the new government

This is from over two weeks ago - but is perhaps even more pertinent:
New Economics Foundation

Less than two weeks before UK voters head to the polls and no one is yet able to predict who will form the next government. With behind the scenes deals likely, red lines are being drawn, parties are preparing for tough negotiations, and opportunities to have influence are growing.

Now the manifestos are published and the 24/7 media machine is in full gear, make sure you cut through the hype and spin by following the NEF blog. Here are my top four reads from the last fortnight, from banking reform to sustainable energy:

1. How to put banking reform back on the political agenda

2. Revealed: support for government spending cuts is on the slide

3. Parties answer our call on fishing quotas

4. Who is saying what on energy policy?

No time to read? Tune into the new Weekly Economics Podcast! Earlier this week I sat down with Kirsty Styles to run through all you need to know about the party manifestos – listen now or subscribe on iTunes

Best wishes,
