How people had their say

We sent people who already hire a beach hut, beach hut site or beach chalet or were on a waiting list to hire one a copy of the full consultation in the post. Anyone could fill in the questionnaire online whether they had a connection to the service already or not.
The consultation was widely advertised on our website, social media, in the local press and other media.
All completed questionnaires had to be with us by Monday 13 July 2015. 695 people sent us their completed questionnaires.
We will be analysing the results of the questionnaire and they will feed into the decision making process. We will keep these consultation pages of the website up to date to keep you informed.

On 7 January 2015 Cabinet made a number of resolutions in relation to beach huts. The public were invited to give their views on the proposals by means of an online questionnaire.

Whilst no decision has yet been made on the proposals consulted upon, the Committee have decided to discuss this issue now due to the public concern raised through Ward Members of the affected wards.
