What will happen at the event?

Alternatiba is an international movement to showcase alternatives to climate change and the energy crisis.  It started in France and is now spreading throughout the world.
There will be Stalls, Demonstrations, Talks, and Workshops,  as well as Poetry, Music, Street Theatre and Dance.

Alternatiba shows that there is a way out the crisis, and that real means exist to build a more humane, more equitable, in short a more desirable society.
We will be located at a number of venues near the High Street in Exeter.

This event is part of the Global Climate March. On November 30th, world leaders meet in Paris to start negotiating the next global climate deal. That’s why, the day before, people around the world will take to the streets and push leaders at every level of government to commit to 100% clean energy. Together, we can push the world towards a climate deal that gets us off dirty energy and unleashes clean energy for all. Let's make history -- RSVP on the right for this Global Climate March event!

It's part of a much larger European-wide movement:

Alternatiba, Village of Alternatives

Alternatiba is a framework to mobilize society to face the challenges of climate change. Numerous Alternatiba events, which provide hundreds of alternatives in order to raise people's awareness and to stimulate behaviour change, have been or will be organized in over sixty different French and European cities. Additionally, these initiatives aim to put pressure on politicians, especially with the upcoming United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Paris Conference or COP21, which will take place in December 2015 in Le Bourget, Seine-Saint-Denis
