Work programme Autumn 2015

Consultation on Local Plan Changes October 2015

The Council are now undertaking consultation on 27 further proposed changes to the local plan set out in the Schedule of Proposed Changes consultation document. The consultation will run from Friday 16 October 2015 to 12.00 Noon on Monday 30 November.
This changes consultation document may be usefully read alongside the  latest published draft of the plan which contained previous
tracked changes in red underlined and blue underlined text and single and double strike-through. It should be noted, however, that in the new proposed changes document these earlier tracked changes are not shown (i.e. they are all deemed to be made to the plan) and the only amendments shown are those that relate to the proposed new amendments.  To assist users of the plan and provide a summary of various drafts we have produced an audit trail document.
If you would like to comment on any of the latest changes it would be helpful if you could complete the representation form designed for this purpose. Alternatively, comments on the 27 further changes can be submitted by e-mail to localplan@eastdevon.gov.uk or in writing to planning policy, East Devon District Council, Knowle, Sidmouth, EX10 8HL. If not using the designated form please specify which proposed change you wish to comment on.  Please also note that this consultation only relates to the most recent changes and no further comments are being sought on changes previously proposed to the plan.
The consultation starts on Friday 16 October 2015 and runs for six weeks. All comments should be returned to the Council on/before: 12.00 noon on Monday 30 November 2015.

With a further note from the Planning Policy Manager this evening:

The East Devon Local Plan Inspector has asked that we consult on additional changes to the local plan.  The consultation will run from Friday 16 October 2015 to 12.00 Noon on Monday 30 November 2015.

These changes and further information about the consultation can be viewed on the Council web site at:

We will send copies of the paperwork to public libraries in East Devon and to Lyme Regis Library and Exeter Central Library and paper copies can be inspected at the council offices here in Sidmouth.

To save paper we have provided the web link, however, if you are unable to view or download documents via our web site please contact us directly and we can supply a paper copy of the proposed changes and a form for making comments.

Please ensure that we receive any response by 12.00 noon on Monday 30 November 2015 at the latest.
