Planning application for solar farms at Clyst St Mary >>> >>> update

There seems to be an endless stream of bad news coming from the government at the moment on both community energy and renewables in general:

There have been attempts in East Devon to put together planning applications for renewable projects which involve the local community:

The smaller site (Kenniford solar farm) has now been granted planning consent:

Following the rejection of an application at the larger area at Shepherd’s Farm

... Solstice Renewables is currently working with the planning authority to agree an acceptable project for this site:

There are limits when it comes to the grid connection - which is often the issue for solar farms:

And of course, meanwhile, we await the results of the various government consultations currently going on:

Other projects, meanwhile, are being looked on favourably:
