East Devon beach huts >>> change to the current system >>> prices to double over two years "to be more in line with other authorities"

There have been ongoing consultations and many many meetings on the subject of beach huts over the last twelve months:
Futures Forum: Public meeting to address District Council's beach huts >>> Sidmouth: Tuesday 7th July >>> reports

There have also been attempts to open up how the various costings and values and charges have been calculated over the years:
Futures Forum: East Devon beach huts to be managed "as normal" >>> >>> new FOI request asks for clarification

Back in November, the District Council declared:

[T]here will be no change to the current position at this time in relation to how the beach hut licences are managed.

A report outlining beach hut charging and income was presented to Cabinet in January and can be accessed here http://eastdevon.gov.uk/media/1202492/07... Agenda item 15

No further information is held in relation to the calculation of the costs of the beach huts at Budleigh and Seaton.
