The Blue New Deal from the New Economics Foundation >>> parliamentary briefing: 'bringing a fresh and hopeful perspective to coastal communities around the country'

The New Economics Foundation will be showcasing an important project later today as part of Sidmouth Climate Week:
Futures Forum: Climate Week in Sidmouth: TOURFISH: Making Coastal Communities Resilient >>> Wednesday 9th March >>> >>> "Responsible Tourism and Blue Economic Growth"

Earlier in the autumn, the Blue New Deal was formally launched:
Futures Forum: The Blue New Deal from the New Economics Foundation >>> formal launch of 'action plan to deliver jobs and economic prosperity to coastal regions'

It could be of real significance to Sidmouth, East Devon and the Jurassic Coast:
Futures Forum: The Blue New Deal from the New Economics Foundation: "In Sidmouth, it could influence the beach management plan, help the town access forthcoming EU funding or drive a regeneration of Port Royal from the ground-up."

A briefing was given to Parliament at the end of the year, touching on the issues which interest the region:
