Plans for Port Royal: anticipating a Regeneration Board >>> and 'scaremongering' over land-swapping at the Ham

Part of the soon-to-start Scoping Study for Port Royal will include determining who owns what - including the status of the Ham itself:

Of course, there have already been bits of the Port Royal site which have been 'swapped' - most notably the Drill Hall five year ago:

During last week's Town Council meeting, there was quite a heated 'emergency debate' around all of these issues.

 The Chairman raised concerns regarding the involvement of one of the Town Councillors in a newspaper article published in the Sidmouth Herald in respect to the future of The Ham, Sidmouth. Members agreed that acting as Trustees they would always wish to protect the Ham.
