Climate change: 'facing the unthinkable': talk in Exeter >>> "How scientists and activists manage the disturbing reality of climate change" >>> Thurs 24th Nov

A very interesting looking talk next week in Exeter:

TALK: FACING THE UNTHINKABLE
How scientists and activists manage the disturbing
reality of climate change

Thursday 24th November 7pm @ Exeter Community Centre

Talk and discussion led by Professor Paul Hoggett.
Paul will discuss research on the contrasting ways climate scientists
and those involved in climate action have managed the anxiety,
despair, hope, excitement and occasionally the trauma of their practice.
Paul is one of the founders of the Climate Psychology Alliance
which seeks to understand and work on the levels of denial that
prevent action on climate change and initiate and support better
discussion of the issue.

Paul Hogget, is Professor Emeritus of Social Policy at UWE, Bristol.

He is a psychotherapist registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council.
