There's quite a debate going on at the Streetlife site:
Streetlife | NHS in Crisis. Book early for coach to Mass Rally in London on Sat 4th March.

A rally is being organised in month's time:

Save the NHS as a pubic service: London March 4th

23 JAN 2017

We all know the NHS is in crisis. There are staff shortages; closures of GP surgeries, pharmacies, hospital beds and hospitals already and more coming. Social care budgets have been slashed. Yet our Government seems set on continuing with their plans to break the NHS. As Nye Bevan said, “The NHS will last as long as there are folk left with faith to fight for it.”

We need to show we have the faith and the will to fight for it. Stand up for the NHS as a publicly funded, publicly delivered service, one that is funded through taxation, not through private health insurance.

In order to show how much we care about keeping the NHS, a rally is being organised in London on March 4th

More information can be found here: http://www.healthcampaignstogether.com/  The rally is from Tavistock Square to Parliament Square and starts at 12 noon. Coaches are coming from all over the country.

If you would like to join a coach travelling up to London and back on 4th March, and you live in East Devon, please email your details (name, number travelling and address) to:  coach@eastdevonalliance.org.uk

We will be asking for donations towards the cost of the coach, a suggested amount might be around £20 per person but this will be confirmed. If you are not able to afford that, please give what you can. To secure a seat, send your details as soon as possible, late comers may be disappointed! If there is demand we can organise more coaches but we need time to be able to do that – DON’T WAIT: SIGN UP TODAY!

This is a “non-party-political/cross-party whatever” initiative, all are welcome who want to keep the NHS (social care and mental health) public!

If you would like to learn more about what’s happening to the NHS you can find a useful summary in this short book (100 pages):
Youssef El-Gingihy  “How to dismantle the NHS in 10 easy steps”. Available from Amazon for £8 or less.

Act now before it’s too late! If you are not able to make it to London on 4th March, look out for events near you on 1st April.
