The life of bees: an SVA talk on Wednesday 11th January

Next Wednesday sees a beekeeper coming to Sidmouth to talk about 'Trees for Bees':

Talk on "Bees"
Held: 11 Jan 2017, 14:30
Manor Pavilion
John Bradley will be giving a talk on "Bees"
John is a local beekeeper who is passionate about these amazing creatures who do such much for us, but perhaps we are not as helpful to them as we could be.

Hear about how important bees are and what we can do to help them go about their vital work. Do buzz along to the Manor for a fascinating insight in to the life of bees

Meanwhile, the Arborteum will be meeting later this month:

You will be welcome at our AGM

Tuesday 17th JANUARY 2017   5.30pm

in the Leigh Browne Room of the Unitarian Chapel, opposite Tesco.

We are fortunate to have a new influx of volunteers with skills and community spirit to take the Arboretum project into its next phase.   Diana East, Chairman since the official formation of the association in 2012, will stand down but continue on the committee.

Our programme for 2017 includes a day at Sidholme Hotel for children; guided walks, led by Kevin Croucher, of Thornhayes Nursery; and a new marketing plan.

Please join us at this important meeting – refreshments available.  We look forward to hearing more of the Legacy to Landscape project from Pete Youngman of the East Devon AONB.
