Climate change: climate hope

The campaign group 10:10 has been busy this year:
Futures Forum: Climate change: doing something about it >>> Ten ways to be unstoppable in 2017
Futures Forum: Climate change: action is happening all around the world
Futures Forum: Climate change: and some practical projects to inspire

This is their latest:

In need of a dose of climate optimism?
Take a look at this Brighton bagel shop. They hated chucking out leftover bagels at the end of the day - so they teamed up with a craft brewery and used the bagels to brew beer.
And then there’s the Edinburgh Remakery. They’re teaching people to repair and reuse their broken gadgets, furniture and clothes rather than throwing them away.
Will you help lend some hope?
Right now, the world needs more hope. It seems like there’s a daily flood of bad news about climate change. Things are moving too slowly, or in the wrong direction - or it seems like nobody cares at all. It’s easy to lose faith, or to feel helpless.
But all over the world, ordinary people are stepping up to the plate and doing things to change the world. Stories like theirs, big or small - whether it’s of bagels being turned into beer, or a rural community banding together to take back control of their renewable energy - give us hope. They inspire us, encourage us to keep going, and keep imagining the world we want to live in.
That’s why we’re on a storytelling mission - a journey to unearth and share the stories that make us feel hopeful for our clean, bright future. We want to celebrate the people and the projects that are forging ahead, determined to make it happen.
And we’re calling it 'Climate Hope.'
Will you help us to shine a light on these untold stories, and bring hope to the world we live in?
Give now
