The latest Herald carried a call for Sidmouth to develop such a centre:

Interestingly, the Tym’s Report quoted in the draft Local Plan suggests several strategies for Sidmouth, and yet the District Council has not included the innovative mixed-use notion of ‘industrial/hybrid scheme’ or the high-tech solution of a ‘work-hub’:
“Sidmouth: Replace existing poor stock; Occupier expansion land; Potential for small industrial/hybrid scheme; Work-hub to encourage entrepreneurs”
