Blue New Deal: building better coastal communities >>> the fishing community in Eastbourne taking control of their future

Last week, we were updated about what's going on with the NEF's Blue New Deal:
Futures Forum: The Blue New Deal from the New Economics Foundation > a plan to revitalise the UK’s coastal communities

Here's a video of one of their projects just out:

BLUE NEW DEAL: BUILDING BETTER COASTAL ECONOMIES

NEF HAS BEEN WORKING WITH THE FISHING COMMUNITY IN EASTBOURNE TO TAKE REAL CONTROL OF THEIR FUTURE

Over the last three years, we’ve been developing the Blue New Deal – a plan to revitalise the UK’s coastal communities. It’s part of our work with people all over the country to make real change happen now.
This film tells the story of Graham Doswell, a third-generation small-scale fisherman from Eastbourne who with NEF, has led an effort to secure a better future for the inshore fishing community, local residents and visitors. Graham’s story shows what can be achieved when local people and businesses have the power to decide what success should look like where they live.

Find out more about how Graham’s community took control and the making of this movie.
