Therapeutic garden project now open to the public at Sidmouth Victoria Hospital

The idea of having a 'therapeutic garden' at the hospital in Sidmouth has developed over some time:

Work started on it before the summer:

And now it is open to the public - with comment and insight provided here: 

Financed by the Hospital Comforts Fund, the Therapeutic Garden opened to the public over the weekend.



A secluded sanctuary consisting of raised planters and paving  built with Purbeck Stone.


It is a shelter west facing courtyard with views across the rugby pitch to Peak Hill beyond.

For patients and visitors it is open to the public to view and a provides a quality garden space to the town.
