Repairing has been made even easier thanks to 'generous sponsorship':

Bradfords help out the Repair Café

Builders' Merchants Bradfords have been providing a real boost to Sidmouth's Repair Café.

Last month, they gave pots of paint and brushes for the final touch to a recycled bench for the bus stop on Woolbrook Road, which Repair Café fixers had put back together.

And at the last Repair Café, they brought along hundreds of pounds worth of equipment, to help the team to fix anything and everything that comes through the Youth Club doors on the last Saturday of every month.

Chris Dunford gave chief fixer Dave Rafferty the tools and repair aids, saying, “Bradfords are really happy to help with this community project. Going forward, just ask and we'll be more than happy to help if we can.”

Dave was very grateful, thanking Chris for the generous sponsorship: “This will be more than useful for our work, helping us folks to repair stuff which would otherwise get thrown away and added to all the landfill.”

Chris was also impressed by what the Repair Café does as a community service.

“I didn't know what to expect when I visited, but it's not just about repairs is it? It's about building up relationships, making friendships.”

If you have anything that needs mending – from electrical goods and household items to toys and power tools – you can bring them along to the next Repair Café at the Youth Centre on Manstone Lane any time between 10am and 1pm tomorrow (Saturday 24^th November).
