DMF Steering Group Member part of winning team for two prestigious NERC Awards

Prof. Richard Thompson OBE, University of Plymouth Marine Institute Director and DMF Steering Group member, has been presented with the Societal Impact and Overall awards from the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). Presented in London on December 3rd, the award recognised the efforts of the team - representing the Universities of Plymouth and Exeter, and the Plymouth Marine Lab - to "bring the causes and effects of plastic pollution, and in particular microplastics, to the attention of policy makers, industry and the general public globally". Congratulations to all involved!
