PFLR SUPPORTERS SCHEME – a new initiative for local businesses and organisations

The ‘Supporters Scheme’ recognises ‘A commitment to sustainability and the careful management of resources and utilities including reducing the use of single-use plastics, and an involvement in Plastic Free Lyme Regis (PFLR) and Turn Lyme Green (TLG).’ 

 The ‘Supporters Scheme’ acknowledges that local businesses of any type can be involved in caring for our environment, not just food outlets which have been using single-use plastics. Everyone can find ways to reduce plastic use, become more energy efficient, improve recycling and make choices that improve their environmental footprint. We hope to recruit a wide range of businesses so that residents and visitors can see how important that campaign is to us all. Please spread the word. 

A poster and wooden plaque for tables or counter tops are available to supporters to publicise their support for the scheme. Anyone wanting to join the Supporters Scheme should simply email ‘info@plasticfreelymeregis.uk’ and find out more information from the web site . There you will find a growing list of recipients.
