Fracking: Golden Goose or Dead Duck? .........................event Thursday 28th November

Coming up later this month - from an excellent speaker:

Fracking: Golden Goose or Dead Duck?

 to

Boniface Centre, Church Lane, Crediton EX17 2AH GoogleMap

Simon Tytherleigh's timely talk on the fraught subject of fracking considers whether this bird will fly through the thicket of issues that surround it.

What does the US experience teach us, if anything? What is our energy future really likely to be? Where does fracking fit in a future in which it seems we will continue to buy gas and coal from abroad, and other countries will profit from generating our energy? Whatever happened to 'the greenest government ever'?

If you can't wait for answers to these questions (or just want to be ready for question time on the night) do read this blog post by Rob Hopkins at Transition Network
