New surgery's bright future

Friday, November 8, 2013
The doctors and designers behind Sidmouth's mooted new practice say it will serve patients for decades to come - and the plans allow room to expand.

They also reassured residents that the town centre surgery will not become the 'poor cousin' to the purpose built facility at Stowford Lodge, as it is set to be upgraded too.

Sid Valley Practice (SVP) bosses are currently bidding to replace the Sidford surgery as patient numbers reach capacity.

Dr Duncan Hall, who is leading the project, said: 'I believe all the feedback has been very positive and mopst patients are in favour. They think it's about time. We will be updating the main building as wee - it won't be the poor cousin.'
