"...trying to use Typhoon Haiyan as an excuse to justify more concerted global action to 'combat climate change'... "

There has been a huge amount of comment in response to Friday's piece by the Telegraph's        James Delingpole:
Do climate sceptics really deserve to be executed because of Typhoon Haiyan? – Telegraph Blogs
James Delingpole is a writer, journalist and broadcaster who is right about everything. He is the author of numerous fantastically entertaining books, including his most recent work Watermelons: How the Environmentalists are Killing the Planet, Destroying the Economy and Stealing Your Children's Future, also available in the US, and in Australia as Killing the Earth to Save It. His website is www.jamesdelingpole.com.

Similarly, the Telegraph's Brendan O'Neill criticises the 'eco-vultures' crowing 'We told you so':
Environmentalism won't save people from typhoons like in the Philippines. The precise opposite will: industry – Telegraph Blogs
Brendan O'Neill is editor of the online magazine spiked and is a columnist for the Big Issue in London and The Australian in, er, Australia. His satire on environmentalism, Can I Recycle My Granny and 39 Other Eco-Dilemmas, is published by Hodder & Stoughton. He doesn't tweet.

There are commentators at the Telegraph with other perspectives, however:
