The beautiful and ancient village of Beer is the quintessential British seaside getaway. Nestled in Lyme Bay, the picture-perfect shingle beach boasts a small fleet of working fishing boats and the surrounding white cliffs provide a natural suntrap from blustery Devon winds. Although small, Beer's flint-studded buildings include shops and galleries, as well as the brilliant Anchor Inn - a traditional pub overlooking the bay.
