The Rescue Sidmouth Drill Hall website has just put out its latest newsletter - and wonders if this money could have been put towards refurbishing the Drill Hall: 

3 bids for the Drill Hall

Dear Friends, The news yesterday was that there were 3 bids submitted to EDDC for the Drill Hall. These bids are now being assessed and we await further information. More detailed information can be found on the EDDC website or Sidmouth Herald. Unfortunately it has been confirmed that a Community Bid was not submitted. East Devon District Council have announced the release of £300,000 of Section 106 money to Sidmouth. I wonder if this money could have been put towards refurbishing the Drill Hall?
