Trying to keep Sidmouth plastic free during Folk Week

We are now well underway with Folk Week:
Things to do at Sidmouth Folk Week on Saturday August 4 | Sidmouth and Ottery breaking news and sport - Sidmouth Herald
Reg Meuross to perform at Sidmouth FolkWeek | Latest Sidmouth and Ottery News - Sidmouth Herald

The question is how much plastic it will produce:

The Plastic Warriors have been keeping their eyes on things:

With some regular bits of beach-cleaning going on:

Denise Bickley
Did from the Sailing club to rock pools this morning - very pleasant and not as much as I expected but still:
23 plastic pints
8 plastic half pints
5 'I am not a plastic glass' pints
About 15 cans
4 broken bottles in various bits
About 150 cigarette butts
Usual crisp packets, sweet wrappers etc
Could do with this every morning and evening so please spread the word (and it's a great way to engage with people ðŸ˜Š)
Cherry Hudson, Charlie Louise Gwillim, Ady Rowden and 6 others like this.
