This guide is for all those involved in, or thinking about, producing a Neighbourhood Plan.
The Roadmap is a comprehensive guide to producing a Neighbourhood Plan. It takes you through the process step by step, from first deciding to join with people from your local community to create a Neighbourhood Plan, to submitting the finished article.

The Supporting Communities and Neighbourhoods in Planning Programme helps local groups develop neighbourhood plans.

New £9.5m fund and support

We’re pleased to announce that the government has created a new £9.5m fund, plus a programme of support to help communities produce neighbourhood plans.
Apply now via the My Community Rights website.
Locality and our partners, including the Royal Town Planning Institute, are delivering the funding and support.

We’ve produced a guide to help groups navigate the world of neighbourhood planning. The Neighbourhood Planning Roadmap Guide is available to download now.
We’ve also produced a Quick Guide to Neighbourhood Plans which gives you an overview of the process.

On 3rd September 2012, the Futures Forum invited Dave Chapman of Locality: to set out the opportunities and challenges of neighbourhood planning and the new community rights, including a review of the support that is available.
