Guided tree walk with the Arboretum > Saturday 3rd June

The Arboretum's calendar of events is quite full - with a very newsy page here:
Sidmouth Arboretum News

Here is one such event coming up:

Dear Supporter

We were delighted to meet so many of you at the recent SEAFEST event – clearly lots of interest in growing trees and shrubs in coastal areas.

Now we look forward to SATURDAY 3 JUNE 2pm when Kevin Croucher, of Thornhayes Nursery, will lead a walk around Littlecourt Cottages and the retirement complex of Powys, with its veteran sweet chestnut and new plantings. They are kindly offering our group tea after the walk. TICKETS available - £5 per person including tea - from Paragon Books.

As a civic arboretum we are always looking for new planting sites, so please get in touch if you see a vacant spot. We are updating our Tree Trail leaflets and planning walks and talks for the autumn season. New committee members are involved with an event for primary school children, and preparing a maintenance plan to care for our plantings. We are trying to improve our website and always welcome any suggestions for activities or requests for advice.
