Deserving organisations from across the Sid Valley gathered as the town council dished out a record £12,850 in grants at the annual town assembly.

Grants included £250 to Sidmouth Carnival, £100 to the Sid Valley Horticultural Society, and Sidbury Cricket Club was given £200. East Devon Citizens Advice Bureau was presented with £1,000, Sid Vale Athletics got £200, the Sidholme Organ Friends Association received £100 and Sidmouth Arboretum was awarded £1,000.
