Open Day July 13th 2014
We will be celebrating 11 Years of It’s a chance for us to show you where we are and what we do and for you to see where your vegetables are grown and to meet some of the people who are growing them for you. You will also get to meet our chicken flock, ducks and pigs, inspect the vegetables as they grow and admire our huge piles of lovely compost that we use to keep everything growing healthily without the use of artificial feeds and weed killers. You will also get some idea of the scale of the weeding we carry out on our customers behalf! Farm walk / Tour with Ruth at 2.30p.m. (ish) As usual at these days there will be mountains of cake to eat and rivers of tea flowing and also our annual baking competition, this year there are three classes as follows:
Competition cakes scones and quiches will then be available to purchase in aid of 'Practical Action' , who fund small scale sustainable solutions to the challenges faced by the poorest folk in the developing world.
