Last week's Herald highlighted concerns from a former District Councillor and resident about the glacial pace of the Eastern Beach management plan:

In this week's Herald, the District Councillor responsible for environmental matters responded:

Futures Forum: Environment Secretary Owen Paterson visits Sidmouth seafront and beaches
... with a change in cabinet at Westminster, there are fears that the whole plan will be delayed even further:
