Sidmouth Town Council: "2014/2015 Grants to be allocated to organisations at a total of £12,850"

Last year the Town Council presented its grants to local organisations at its Annual Town Assembly:

SIDMOUTH: Voluntary groups to benefit from council grant hand-out

More than £12,000 will be handed out to community groups and projects in Sidmouth this year, it was confirmed last week.

Sidmouth Town Council approved 19 grant applications at the full council meeting in January and confirmed at the February meeting a total of £12,850 to be distributed to voluntary organisations in the town.

The Sidmouth Town Band will receive the largest grant of £2,000 with substantial support also for Sidmouth in Bloom and Sidmouth Regatta.

The following grants were awarded to: 
£2,000 to Sidmouth Town Band; 
£1,500 to Sidmouth Science Festival; 
£1,200 to Sidmouth Walking Festival; 
£1,000 to Sidmouth Regatta; 
£1,000 to Sidmouth Junior Lifesaving Club; 
£1,000 to Sidmouth Arboretum; 
£1,000 to Sidmouth in Bloom; 
£1,000 to East Devon Citizens Advice Bureau; 
£750 to Sidmouth Sailing Club; 
£500 to Sid Valley Food Bank; 
£400 to Sidmouth Choral Society; 
£250 to Sidmouth Carnival; 
£250 to Apple Tree Pre-School; 
£250 to The Byes Pre-School; 
£200 to Sid Vale Athletics; 
£200 to Sidbury Cricket Club; 
£150 to Sidmouth Majorettes; 
£100 to Sid Valley Horticultural Society; and 
£100 to Sidholme Organ Friends Association.
