Something Wonderful in My Back Yard - Musical - Launch party
Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM (GMT)
Totnes, United Kingdom
Something Wonderful in My Back Yard
A sparkling new musical
by Matt Harvey and Thomas Hewitt Jones.
During 2015 and 2016 we will be working with KEVICC students the wider Totnes community and community groups accross the UK to make a show about dreamers and do-ers rolling up their sleeves and changing the world – a bit at a time.
Our musical will be set in an imaginary town, not specifically in Totnes, because we want to communicate the breadth and ambition of the broader Transition movement – to show that resistance IS fertile, a half-full glass CAN be rose-tinted and, crucially, that if you reach for the stars you MIGHT just get to the pub.
Please come to the Launch Party!
7pm 18 March at The Ariel Centre
There will be poetry from Matt, music from Thomas, KEVICC students and a local music group, things to do and home-made cake!
We will be launching a design competition at the event to produce artwork for the project with 10 prizes of £100 each.
