Futures Forum: The Future for Health in Sidmouth: "What's to be done?"
"They’ll make service providers answerable to you and help turn any bad practice into in good practice."
Welcome to Healthwatch Devon - your voice counts
healthwatch devon
The Community Council of Devon is the organisation that was commissioned by Devon County Council and the NHS to both develop Healthwatch Devon as an independent, sustainable social enterprise.
One of Healthwatch Devon’s main aims is to help you get the best out of your local health and social care. Healthwatchwill give people a powerful voice locally and nationally.
People rarely speak up about their experiences of health and social care, often because they feel they cannot make a difference. But Healthwatch Devon believes every voice counts when it comes to shaping the future of health and social care.
Healthwatch Devon can listen, advise, point people in the right direction and handle any concerns or issues people experience. It will also help provide information about care choices and assist people with navigating the increasingly complex health and social care system.
At a local level, Healthwatch Devon will work to help local people to influence the delivery and design of local services, whether that is improving health and social care services today or helping to shape them for tomorrow.
Healthwatch Devon is independent, transparent, accountable – and they’re powerful! They have the strength of the law and the national influence of Healthwatch England behind them. They’ll make service providers answerable to you and help turn any bad practice into in good practice. So ‘speak up’ everyone – help create change together.
