The Planning System and Local Communities

Environment and Sustainability Through Community Eyes 

As trustees of Community Voice on Planning (CoVoP), a nationwide network of groups concerned with planning issues, we should like to invite you to a workshop in the South West (Cornwall to Avon). 
The theme of the workshop will be: 
How to Make the Planning System Work for Local Communities, Environment and Sustainability, 
and we are keen to focus on practical solutions. 
The agenda will include: 
                Welcome from Chairman and introductions
                Presentation on Environmental Sustainability in Planning
                Discussion groups on specific topics such as:
                               Environmental Assessments and what to look for
                               How to protect wildlife
                               Traffic assessments and their impacts
                Plenary session to summarise discussions
                Conclusion 
The meeting will take place from 1.30pm till 4.30pm on Saturday 10 October 2015 at The Cat & Fiddle, just a mile from JCT 30 of the M5 (near Exeter), towards Sidmouth on the A3052 (Lunches/snacks available from 12pm). 
 We'd be very grateful if you could bring along any specific subject area for which you consider you have a practical suggested solution.
