Knowle relocation project: "The gardens used to be one of the jewels in Sidmouth's environment, but are now in a sorry state."

The future of the Knowle site is not just about the buildings, but about the parkland within which the buildings sit:

The District Council's planning committee has already rejected the earlier planning application on the grounds that it would have eaten into the town's precious parkland:
