Devon Convergence: Forum for New
Local Economies
Saturday 7th February / 9:30am - 4:30pm /
Exeter
Co-organiser Jay Tompt writes "With austerity kicking
in, we're facing a critical crossroads, but there are exciting community-led
economic solutions emerging across the region...
It's running on a 'gift
culture' basis because we want to make sure everyone can participate. There will
be opportunities for making new connections, sharing stories about projects and
learning. We'll hear about new currencies, new ways to empower community-based
enterprise, and opportunities for regional-scale cooperative enterprise.
The
organizers are from Transition Towns and REconomy, Social Enterprise Networks,
Sustainability Groups and NGOs across the region.
Programme and venue t.b.a,
will be on the TE website.
