Trustees’ Reportand Financial Statementsfor the year ended 31 March 2017
With a very positive New Year's message - and some useful links:
Thanks to all of you helped the Municipalities Project get underway by submitting fascinating case studies from all over the world. Many of the Transition Network team travelled to Santorso, Italy in May to celebrate, learn and make plans with the Transition Hubs Group and, in the UK, we’ve been helping initiatives meet up and explore the potential of regional networks.
Transition Network is now in the middle of our Strategy Review and is exploring a new internal ‘shared governance’ structure which we plan to put in place in 2018. We’re really appreciative that more than 280 of you recently sent us feedback about how the Transition movement was looking and feeling from your perspective. Read the mid-survey summary online. We’ll be sharing more about our thinking and plans in the New Year and inviting further input.
Around the world, we have seen devastating earthquakes, fires and floods, interesting, challenging and frustrating political situations and continuing human rights crises. And we’ve heard inspiring stories of people (often Transitioners) coming together to respond with compassion, strength and creativity to those challenges. We continue to believe that working locally to develop resilient and caring communities is one of the best ways to thrive in our world.
We at Transition Network would like to wish you a joyful turn of the year with enough on your plate to share and some time to rest and reflect as we prepare for 2018.
We wish you... - Transition NetworkAnd a few pieces looking forward to the coming year:
We need to talk about... climate change - Transition Network
Activism in the Anthropocene - Transition Network
