Friends of the Byes: bulb planting dates in October: for the SVA's "valley of a million bulbs" project

Friends of the Byes and Sidmouth in Bloom are preparing to plant 15 000 more bulbs throughout The Byes this October. This will add to the 150 000 already planted by the community last year in the Sid Vale Association’s mission to create ‘a valley of a million bulbs’ supported by the Keith Owen Fund.

October Volunteer Dates 
To make the bulb planting easier, we are doing it over a several days. 
Wednesday 1st  10-12
Saturday 4th  10-12
Wednesday 8th 10-12
Saturday 11th 10-12
Wednesday 15th 10-12
Saturday 18th 10-12
Wednesday 22nd 10-12
Saturday 25th 10-12
Wednesday 29th 10-12

Please meet at The Old Toll House entrance to The Byes on Salcombe Lane at 10am
People of ALL ages welcome, please join us and help show your support.

Thanks to all those that entered into FOTB photo competition, there has been so many great entries. The judging will be arranged in the next couple of weeks and we hope to have them all displayed publicly for a while. We will keep you updated.

Some members of Friends of The Byes are visiting Pickett Lane Nursery in Dorset on the 18th October. We aim to be there at 2pm, it is about an hours drive from Sidmouth so we will be leaving about 1pm
