Sidmouth Arboretum Winter Newsletter 2019

The latest news from the Arboretum:

I hope you have all had a relaxing time over Christmas. A Happy New Year to you all.

Welcome to the winter newsletter from Sidmouth Arboretum which we hope will keep you informed of our activities and events in the Sid Valley.

We would like to see you at our AGM on January 15th at 17:30 in the Dissenters Hall, across from the Post Office.

There will be drinks and nibbles to encourage you to attend! Please come along and hear what we do in a bit more detail and if you wish get involved you will be most welcome.

Sidmouth Tree Celebration evening – 30th November 2018

It was lovely to see so many people at this year’s tree evening.  The programme, with fewer talks allowing more time to mix and meet old friends, seemed to work well. As a result, we have received several new requests to subscribe to the newsletter.  If you do not wish to receive the newsletter then please contact us via one of the emails below.

Volunteers
We have had several people wanting to help as volunteers and we would welcome anyone else to help with the following types of activities:
  • Maintenance work, which we schedule at our monthly committee meeting,
  • Attending  festivals e.g. Sea Fest, Science Festival, Sidbury Fair ,
  • Checking our 3 walks in Sidbury, Salcombe Regis and Sidmouth,
  • Labelling trees along the walks.
  • Helping at our own events, in Tree Week in May and the Tree Celebration evening.
If you would like to volunteer then please let us know.  We would be especially pleased to have someone to maintain a list of volunteers and coordinate their activities.  Again please just let us know.
