PROJECT WILD THING at EMBERCOMBE
The Great Rediscovery of Nature Film screening and discussion
4th April 2014
“No one will protect what they don’t care about; and no one will care about what they have never experienced.” David Attenbourgh
Please book online. See below for details.
British kids are becoming glued to their screens and their parents worry about letting them play outdoors. Children’s average roaming distance has decreased to almost nothing and the upcoming generations increasingly think of nature as dangerous, pointless and irrelevant.
This documentary follows David Bond’s admirable attempt to rediscover the great outdoors and muddy play, by appointing himself Marketing Manager for nature and using his own children as guinea pigs in the Great Rediscovery.
'This film will change your life' The Guardian
As well as showing this uplifting film, Embercombe will be hosting an evening of fun including games, lively discussion and tours. So come along and be inspired to get your wellies on, jump in more puddles and find out what you can do to encourage our children to spend more time in nature.
The fun starts at 17.30 when we will be selling wonderful food from the fire and refreshments from our 'apple' bar.
